Beyond the ten-minute appointment
A ten-minute GP appointment is enough to treat a problem. It is rarely enough to prevent one.
Lasting change takes time, expertise and an ongoing relationship with a doctor who knows you. That is the care I offer privately, alongside my work as an NHS GP.
Who I work with
People who lead companies, teams and demanding careers. They train, travel and expect a lot of themselves, and they have tried the apps, the wearables and the latest protocols.
They want to be as capable at sixty as they were at forty.
What we work towards
Five goals, each tracked against your own baseline. If things don't improve, the plan changes.
A younger biological age
Slowing the pace at which you age.
Heart and metabolic health
Lower risk of heart attack, stroke and diabetes.
Cognitive and physical performance
Sharper focus, more strength, better fitness.
Disease prevention
Risks found early, including inherited ones.
Mood, energy and libido
Feeling like yourself again.
Why work with me
A doctor, not a trend
A GMC-registered GP, guided by evidence rather than fashion.
Research you can trust
A published researcher who reads the studies, so you don't have to.
Tailored, not templated
Built around your results, your diary and your goals.

Dr Abhinav Vepa is a GMC-registered NHS GP with a special interest in performance, longevity, men's health and cardiometabolic health.
He uses advanced blood tests and fitness markers to find the risks a standard check-up can miss, then translates the latest research into safe, personalised lifestyle changes, combined with modern medical treatments where appropriate. As a certified coach, he uses evidence-based behavioural methods to help patients turn that plan into habits that last, with repeat biomarkers to show what is working.
He trained at King's College London (MBBS; First-Class BSc in Pharmacology) and is a published researcher with 15 peer-reviewed publications, including a Cochrane systematic review on the Mediterranean diet. He is a medical educator and speaks on performance medicine to workplaces and at conferences. He is a co-founder of Aeterna Health, and provides expert advisory services to health and wellness start-ups.

Why I practise both ends of medicine
As an NHS GP in one of the most deprived parts of North West London, I care for patients with complex needs and limited resources. That keeps me honest about what actually helps people, not just what's fashionable. I bring the same standard to the busy professionals I see privately.
Outside clinic
I practise what I recommend: strength training, Muay Thai, and growing my own fruit and vegetables, some of which make it onto my plate.
